Counseling Psychology & Clinical Psychology Externship Program 2023-2024

Re-New Psychological Services, LLC is excited to offer up to 6 doctoral externship positions for the 2023-2024 academic year. We are a group private practice that provides individual and group therapy to adult individuals in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. This externship is appropriate for third or fourth year doctoral students in APA-approved clinical or counseling psychology programs. Students with a strong interest in providing psychotherapy are invited to apply. 

The Externship experience will include: 

• 8-10 individual adult clients, including initial assessment interviews 
• Externs have the option to co-lead a group 
• 1.5 hour of group supervision (including case presentations) 
• 1 hour of scheduled individual supervision, with additional supervision provided as needed 
• 1.5 hours of professional seminar (e.g., topics in psychology and/or professional development) 
• A stipend of $1500 

All therapy, supervision and seminars will be remote via teleconference as our practice has not returned to in-person services. All supervision will be provided by licensed psychologists.
