I am a graduate of the National School of Social Service at The Catholic University of America with a Master’s in Clinical Social Work. I am currently licensed in both the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland and have been working in the field for 13 years.
My goals in therapy include assisting clients to address challenges, expand self-knowledge, and facilitate personal growth. I have had extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings working with a wide range of age, sexual orientation, and social/cultural groups.
I believe it is of utmost importance to provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment in which clients may explore issues such as depression, anxiety, adjustment, relationship, and substance abuse, among other mental-health challenges.
Experience has taught me that the human mind and spirit are resilient and creative, and with this in mind, I utilize a multi-modal approach which includes psychodynamic, strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness techniques (among others) to address each person’s individual needs and goals.
