I received my M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in Pittsburgh. I am currently licensed as a professional counselor in the District of Columbia. My clinical experience includes working with clients to address mental health disorders, substance abuse, and family/relationship concerns.
My relationship with my clients is collaborative and non-judgmental. We will work together to set, pursue and attain goals. I encourage clients to take a compassionate and curious attitude towards their past, present, and future. As my clients work towards their goals, I strive to promote healthy self-care and values-oriented living practices to maintain mental wellness.
My approach to counseling is person-centered, strength-based, and incorporates elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Ultimately, however, my style is flexible and tailored to the unique needs of the individuals I serve.
