Kshipra Jain, LPC

Position
Licensed Professional Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the DC metropolitan area, and a board-certified counselor (NCC). I graduated from Boston University School of Medicine with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine. I am currently a doctoral candidate of Counseling at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

My clinical experience consists of providing outpatient treatment to primarily young adults and adults with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, sociocultural issues, relationship issues, legal issues, substance use, and/or comorbid medical concerns. I am a strong advocate for those who are stigmatized due to their marginalized intersectional identities, such as LGBTQ+ folx, racial/ethnic minorities, immigrants/refugees/asylum-seekers, women, as well as individuals who endure socioeconomic disadvantages.

I strongly believe in creating a safe and welcoming space for individuals to feel comfortable enough to share their stories. My approach to therapy is collaborative, as I want my clients to feel seen and heard. I work from a person-centered, multicultural, and social justice lens, using techniques from CBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic, and others as needed. I am fluent in both English and Hindi.
