I am a graduate of the American School of Professional Psychology, and am licensed in the state of Maryland. My experiences includes providing individual, family, and group therapy services, as well as conducting psychological assessment of children and adults. I have specialized experience in the treatment of eating disorders. My interests also include bicultural identity development, psychological processes in acculturation, and ethnocultural factors and health.
My therapeutic approach is holistic, strength-based and person-centered. I view health as a balance between the mind and body, and work collaboratively with the client to customize a wellness plan that addresses his or her unique needs. My theoretical orientation consists of integrating cognitive behavioral therapy with a family systems approach to address past and present concerns. I am open to integrating spirituality into treatment if it is of importance to the client. I believe in working together at a pace that is comfortable to strengthen insight that leads one to gain and maintain an overall sense of well-being.
