Mirian Sanchez, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

I graduated from Johns Hopkins University, School of Education with a Master in Organizational Counseling and with a second specialization in Clinical Community Counseling. I am licensed in the state of Maryland as License Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC # LC3918) and in the District of Columbia as License Professional Counselor (PRC14280). I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) Certification No.: 255865 and a Fellow at the National Anger Management Association (NAMA).

My clinical experience dates more than fifteen years of working in areas of mental health and substance use disorders with adult individuals, as well as with couples from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.  My extensive background working with public institutions and corporate settings helps me understand the challenges face by working professionals.

My goal as a therapist is to provide a nonjudgmental and supportive healing environment where clients feel safe while engaging in the emotional passage of therapy.  Client’s needs are always at the center of any individualized treatment approach. My approach to counseling emphasizes clients’ personal needs with the most effective solutions available to them.  While drawing from various theories and techniques, I provide an integrative method to psychotherapy.

I am happy to serve clients in English or Spanish
