Our Belief

We believe that each of us is filled with potential, some of which is untapped or out of our awareness. Many people seek counseling at a time when they are becoming aware of this potential for change but are not quite sure how to move towards their goal. There is not a single method of self renewal: we will work collaboratively to help you find the best path to your goal.

Our Goal

Our goal is to make the therapy experience a positive one for you. To aid in this process, we schedule all new clients for a free 30-minute face-to-face consult with a therapist. The consultation meeting allows you to meet the therapist, ask any questions you have about the process of therapy, and evaluate if he/she is a good fit for your needs. This meeting also enables the therapist to make sure that he/she is able to provide you with the appropriate level of treatment for your concerns, and if not, to refer you to a therapist within or outside of the practice who may be a better fit for your needs. In our experience, most consultation meetings result in a good fit between the client and therapist.
Therapy is like any other relationship between people: it takes work and open communication. You will discuss your expectations for therapy at your consultation meeting and first session, but feel free to let the therapist know if they change along the way. Your therapist will check in with you throughout the process about how things are going so that you remain on the same page about your goals and desires for the therapy relationship.
