Alejandra Fonte, LGPC

I am a pre-licensed professional counselor in Washington, DC.  I completed my Bachelor’s degree in
Psychology and my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami. My
clinical training includes working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of mental health
concerns in different settings. I am currently supervised by Dr. Krystal Stanley, Ph.D.

My approach to therapy is integrative and collaborative, utilizing person-centered, cognitive behavioral,
and multicultural lenses. I aim to incorporate the appropriate framework depending on the client’s
individual needs and life experiences. I work collaboratively with my clients towards identifying and
reaching personalized goals with empathy & non-judgmental compassion. My goal is to create a safe,
inviting environment where individuals can feel understood and experience healing. I believe we are all
capable and worthy of positive change and utilize the therapeutic relationship to guide my clients
towards personal growth. I am comfortable working with English and Spanish speaking clients.

Matthew Lyman, PMHNP

I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing and completed post-Masters advanced graduate studies at Northeastern University in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialty. I also have a Master of Social Work degree from Boston College. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed in D.C., Maryland and Massachusetts.

In my capacity as a Nurse Practitioner, I have worked in outpatient mental health clinics, on a mobile team performing community-based interventions, and as a specialty psychiatric provider within a primary care group practice.

I have a wide range of experiences in providing pharmacological interventions to promote improved mental health, quality of life and general well-being. I take an approach that is collaborative in decision making for medication interventions, providing education, weighing risks and benefits, and considering each person’s unique goals for wellness with respect and empathy.
I am inclined to be cognizant of social and cultural factors in approaching treatment and strive toward cultural competence in its many forms.
